Detail is the hallmark of Virgo as they see each and every detail in color. The rest of us see detail in black and white. This can cause them to become a critic and analyst to help the rest of us in healing societies wrong doings. Virgo collects and assimilates facts and digests them for their mental values. Their desire is to reach the highest degree of perfection. It is one of the two perfectionist signs. The other being Libra. The are either great at this or a disaster. Just pick one. This allows them to become extremely neat in personal habits and dress.

Their happiness lies being in service. They are extremely practical and organized, and as such can be one of the hardest of workers. Serve or suffer is their byline. This is very hard for them or all of us to do. However this is their job this lifetime. They are able to pull in mental energy seemingly from the spheres. This gives them the ability through service to awaken creative expression. They just have to get through the mess, to see the tree, instead of the forest. Virgo does not need recognition from others, as when they feel a job is well done then they are content. By finding what brings them inner peace, can be discerned by accurately finding what is important to them, and not a problem for them to solve for another person. Virgo rules the intestines because assimilation is their process. This trait can be seen in them if they do not take care of themselves with care, like a good diet and physical regime, then they can have internal problems. This is why they are very good at using herbs and natural remedies to maintain their good health. Virgo's are sensitive to allopathic medicine. By being health conscious brings them a sense of ease. Virgo is the halfway point in their journey through the zodiac. It is also the point of reading for the seasonal change that comes at the Fall Equinox. It is harvest time. What the Planets are Doing...

The Sun entering Virgo on August 23rd brings into the time of recognition that we all need to be concerned about finishing our tasks and getting our house in order. It will feel good when this happens so we can get ready for the Fall season.

August 26th Mercury stops and begin it's direct travels. Happy days are here again. This one has been an extremely difficult one for most of us. The cycle really ends on September 9th. So if you still feel the energy this can explain it for you.

The same day (8/26) happens to be Women's Equality Day. Ladies try not to get on your soap box.

The New Moon occurs on August 28th at 8:04 pm PDT. Remember the goal thing. It really is so important especially with the Sun in Virgo and effective functioning happening.

August 30th, Jupiter begins it's retrograde cycle and ends towards the end of December. Plenty of time for you all to rethink all those huge ideas and put them in the possibility frame. Too often those ideas that seem so great just can't happen because you haven't thought them through. Now is the time to do that.

September 12th is the Harvest Moon that occurs at 2:27 am PDT. The viewing on the 11th should be wonderful.

September 14th Venus moves into Libra. She is happy there as she rules this sign.

Pluto the transformer/destructor turns direct on September 16th at 11:23 am PDT. Lets get on with it and do what is necessary for a better life and quit with the excuses. He will wreck havoc if you try to fight his energy. Surrender is a good word for this guy as he moves through our lives.

Capricorn is presently under the gun. Mars enters Leo on September 18th at 6:51 pm PDT. He is relatively happy here after living in Cancer where his energy is under water and difficult to express.

Mercury rules VIRGO

Each planet acts like the director of a department in a corporation. Mercury is the director of Communications.

Back when gods and goddesses were thought to be in charge of the affairs of humanity, Mercury shuttled messages between the gods and mortals. In today's world he's the computer, the telephone, and the, internet ... THE COMMUNICATION.  He's the internal computer that constantly feeds you data about the world. His position and house in your chart shows how you think and reason, and how you express yourself to others. Mercury represents the side of you living totally in the present.

When Mercury retrogrades, the lines of communication go haywire and become confused or are delayed. Letters are lost or end up in the car seat for several weeks. When a contract is signed during this time, you'll find out after the fact that the information was misleading or you didn't have the correct information. You try repeatedly to reach someone via phone but your phone breaks down. You drive to an appointment only to have left the directions at home. You're late for appointments for reasons out of your control. Mercury retrogrades approximately twice a year lasting for 25 or so days. We are at the end of a cycle right now and Mercury will station on August 6th.

The next cycle will be November 23 to December 13, 2011.
