Are you ready? Are you ready? Here goes whether you like it
or not. We are entering the very dynamic sign of VIRGO. This
Mercury ruled sign is at the top of its form when dealing with
the peculiarities in our finite world. Nothing gets past these
meticulous souls, even when you think that they are not noticing,
they catch you. Having raised one I can attest to that uncanny
ability that they come into life knowing. Virgo, being an Earth
sign, gives them some grounding that the Gemini native doesn't
excel at.
Both of these signs are Mercury ruled, but have very
different expressions in their manifestation of Mercury.
In Gemini, the expression is diffuse and restless,
whereas in Virgo the manifestation comes out very
discriminating.
Virgo can express themselves as critical and nit picking,
as well as analyzing to the max. They often do not
enter into a job if they feel that they don't have
the necessary aptitude to do it perfectly. And in
the mind of this person, perfection is mandatory in
order to have a balance in the universe.

The
symbol for Virgo is the virgin holding a sheave of wheat.
This symbolizes the purity of the sign as well as feeding
the masses. The Virgin is not meant literally but as a symbol
of the purity of ambition in their need for perfection. The
sheaves of wheat symbolizes a time for the Earth to bring
forth it's bounty as the days get shorter in length. The Harvest
Moon is proud to be a part of this sign's expression.
Virgo
sometimes cannot see the forest for the trees. In other words
they get caught up in the details of something and forget
to see the bigger picture. Virgo often cannot discern the
dollar but they understand the cent. They have a strong need
to be in service like their opposite sign Pisces. However
it needs to be used in a very practical way. If not demonstrated
in a down to earth manner, then it will be excluded. These
people are not known for their feeling nature.
Their
intellect is far superior to many and this does not allow
for much sentimentality to be noticed by anyone. They are
constantly looking for new avenues to discern and get right
to the core. They have enough patience to last many of us
less patient souls. Virgo has this irrepressible need to see
order in whatever it sees or does. This is regardless of anyone
else’s opinion.
The
lovely side of these people is that they can make a dollar
go further than others. They are quite thrifty and hunt for
the best bargain. My particular Virgo spends a great deal
of time and effort to get the best bargain possible and will
often say to me "this was only $3.00" and I get
jealous. Second hand stores are her forte. But I do not have
the patience for this type of shopping. The details in life
are best left to the Virgo personality. Even in their speech
they are very disciplined and do not elaborate well. They
can become depleted when confronted with a direct opposition
to their particular opinion.
Their
nervous energy can be brought out when such an occurrence
happens ... they exhaust quite rapidly and need to rest before
they can respond in a balanced manner. On the whole, these
lovely souls are generally liked as they do not pose a threat
to most individuals, due to their reticent nature. The just
do their job and let the world go its own way. A special salute
to you stalwart ones, may your nature be strong to your ideals
and never waver in your determination.

What
the Planets are Doing...
The Sun moves into the second of three earth
signs, namely, VIRGO. This highly efficient sign allows us all
to tap into the energy that is functionally creative in it's
expression. We can all profit from a bit more disciplined activity.
This is the sign that we all begin to see the light turning
to more darkness as we approach the Fall season.
August 25th at 1:18 pm PST Mercury finds it's
way into Libra, where Venus becomes an important part of the
Mercury thought forms. We could all become a bit kinder in our
approach in speaking our truth. Isn't that a kicker. The Libra
idea of conversation would be to make everyone think that you
are giving them the idea of what they want you to think. Mercury
is in hard aspect to Mars later in that day so you might feel
like doing a bit of sparring with someone. Try to avoid this.
Mars is becoming more of itself as he enters
Leo that same day at 10:16 am PDT. Liking fire energy, he tends
to think that he can just succeed at what ever he thinks in
in his best interest. Another aspect of Mars in Leo is that
the partner has to be attractive.
August 26th Venus makes her way into Leo, at
9:12 am PDT. She needs to be seen and heard during this transit.
We all could feel that we need to have our activities acknowledged
without our having to say anything. Venus is not terribly happy
in fire however she will make the best of it while there.
That same day Mars makes an opposition to Pluto,
the destructor, at 1:32 pm PDT. This could be a very interesting
day. Mars and Pluto energy is powerful and rather demanding.
If it hits a planet in your chart then action happens.
The Full Moon is a Harvest Moon with the Moon
in Pisces. This happens on September 4th at 9:03 am PDT. It
is a beautiful Moon and we can further feel the Fall season
approaching.
September 6th brings the dreaded Mercury retrograde.
The cycle actually begins in August on the 17th and ends in
October on the 10th. The actual retrograde motion ends on September
29th. Time to clean closets, drawers and cabinets, as well as
the garage and attic. This is not the time to buy any electronic
equipment or sign contracts. It is a time for reflection.

Our normal rate is $3.23 per minute
