Get
ready to get detailed and organized. The Sun moving into Virgo
really lets us all become aware of our faults. Don’t buy
it, as we are all the same as we were a month ago, and maybe
even better. Virgo is an earth sign that puts us in touch with
life’s discrepancies. It is ruled by the planet Mercury
but a much more practical Mercury, than found in Gemini.
In Virgo, the mental ability is more focused and analytical.
The symbol for Virgo is the Virgin surrounded by shafts
of wheat. Not the prim and perfect virgin but the
earthy and sensual virgin that leads us into the purity
and beauty of self love. The wheat symbolizes the
harvest leading into fall and in preparation for the
winter months.

Virgo
wants to attain perfection as told by their standards of efficient
functioning. Their main goal in life is to be in perfect harmony
with all, and as such, it is one of the perfectionist signs,
the other being Libra. These special souls believe that if they
didn’t concern themselves with the details of life, then
no one would, and everything would fall apart. This is why others
see the critical a part of Virgo’s personality. It is
often hard to live with a Virgo if you can’t take criticism
without getting hurt, as they are known for their critical nature.
These
souls have a need to be in service, and are really not happy
campers unless they attend to this task. They sometimes get
so caught up in the details of life they don’t see the
forest for the trees. If Virgo doesn’t serve others in
some way or another they will inevitably turn on themselves.
Let me tell you that this is not a pretty sight. They really
become difficult.
Mercury
ruling Virgo gives the native the extreme earthy grounded approach
to life. These natives are so practical it is rather disarming
to the rest of us. They cut to the chase quickly and even sometimes
heartlessly. Their love for order is paramount. Their patience
and foresight is quite extraordinary also. These seem to love
routine and dislike any time of chaos or disorder of any kind.
They can be extremely humble and accomplish many difficult deeds
that others find too difficult as they do one step at a time.

What
the Planets are Doing...
The
Sun entering Virgo is a time for examining our past
performances and seeing how we could have made them better.
It can get a bit picky but don’t let that stop you from
benefiting from your past mistakes and learning from them.
The
New Moon on August 23rd brings us a powerful energy
to begin thinking about what we would like to begin in our lives.
Don’t forget to write your goals. Putting thought into
form allows manifestation to happen.
There
is a Venus/Saturn conjunction on August 26th. Tough
day emotionally. Expressing our love nature can be difficult.
Mercury,
the ruling planet of Virgo enters its sign on August 27th,
giving even more power to this already powerful sign. Our thoughts
can really go the distance during this time.
Pluto
stations and enters its direct cycle on September 4th,
Labor Day. We can realize how much resistance we put up to make
changes that have become necessary. Now is the time for those
changes to begin to happen.
September
5th has Venus entering Virgo. We all could get really
picky with our money as well as how we express our feelings
toward loved ones.
The
Lunar Eclipse/Full Moon on September 7th in Virgo/Pisces
allows for all of us to really get in touch with how we can
best serve those we love without thinking we need to have the
favor returned. The need to let go of our fears and doubts.
Mars
enters Libra on September 7th just after the eclipse.
Mars going into Venus’ sign can only bring confusion about
expressing its natural masculine energy and being assertive
when necessary. Not the happiest of places for Mars.
Mercury
goes into Libra on September 12th. Diplomacy can reassert
itself again. Our thoughts will become more fair minded and
express the need for equality.
