Welcome to the deep water of Scorpio. The very deepest of all
the water signs. This sign is ruled by the grown up Mars as
interpreted by Pluto the destroyer. The sensual water bird is
keenly aware of how sensitive it is and as a result, keeps itself
hidden to most of the world. Putting Scorpio in human form,
they are one of the acutely dynamic, impressive individuals
around. They are the watchers, and waiters (not on tables) to
see the lay of the land, before they make their move in any
direction.
They
love to know the outcome of an event or even a conversation
before anything starts. Control is their middle name,
and this is not necessarily a bad thing, but it does
hamper them in moving forward. These private souls
feel like they know the deepest darkest of secrets
and they can't share them. The symbol for Scorpio
is the Scorpion, Eagle and the Phoenix.
In
the Scorpion stage they sting others, and often because
they feel bad, they turn around and sting themselves.

The
Eagle soars high above the world as then they can see a new
perspective in the ebb and flow of nature, politics and sexuality.
The Phoenix is the stage in which they have developed maturity.
The Phoenix in Indian lore is the bird that as it is dying,
sings a beautiful song reminding others of the true nature
of love and life. It then bursts into flames, and dies only
to be reborn as a new bird. These three symbols really show
others how truly deep and transformative the Scorpio native
is. This aspect gives them the ability to survive in the world
and recover in most situations.
Scorpio
rules sexuality and other peoples money or the handling of
others money and possessions. They rule the sex organs and
as such, feel compelled to feel that they have a corner on
the market in this arena. Taurus their opposite, is also a
money and sex sign but Taurus needs to procreate, while Scorpio
just needs to enjoy the nature of sexuality. That is, to redeem
itself by having a life and death, of the ego situation, while
engaging in the act of the ultimate ego gratification.
Transformation,
being the key word for this sign, as it's expression is really
a mystical desire to change. It is not a transformation in
the material realm, but a real spiritual change at the gut
level. Desire is the word that defines them in money as well
as sex and control. Like the other sign ruled by Mars, they
are a mature desire sign that goes after something as a result
of thoughtful study rather than just rushing into it's natural
inclination.
Scorpio
is the first of the fixed signs after Taurus and Leo. These
are also called the cherubic signs and I don't know why, but
I think that it must be because they have the most endurance.
These insightful people just love mysteries. Digging into
the deepest part of life is a study in and of itself. Life
is intense and lived fully in their feelings. Drama is the
stage that they would like to be on in most situations. If
they can't see drama in their own life, then they will initiate
a situation that creates drama.
Scorpio
is the second water sign and the only water sign that will
fight. You have to really back them into a corner but they
will defend themselves and usually win. Like other water signs,
they are really very sensitive, and will translate hurts and
feelings of not fitting into a group, as they cannot express
their emotions easily, so they seem like they are pouting
or brooding.
This
native has a difficult time relaxing, and as a result they
will often work to burn off their excess energy. They have
a tremendous sense of direction and will rarely let anyone
deter them from their intended destiny. Others may try to
keep up with them but often fail as their energy is so powerful.
They really have an incredible organizational mind and is
really quite filled with insight.
On
the whole, Scorpio is rarely disappointed with their life
as they intrinsically know that they can initiate change when
ever they desire. This in itself is freedom, like the Phoenix
in their highest evolution.

What
the Planets are Doing...
The
Sun moves into Scorpio on October 22
at 11.44 pm PST. This is the beginning of our serious nature
covered by humor.
United
Nations Day is on October 24th.
Mercury
enters Scorpio on October 28th. Time to get serious
and think really deep thoughts. Kidding aside ... Mercury our
thinking process and ideas get into a more thoughtful energy.
Pondering is easily the way a lot of us go. Really our thinking
gets a boost of thoughtful ideas that often are quite helpful
to our every day living.
Saturn
leaves Virgo for a while and enters Libra. Saturn is
exalted in Libra so it is a really good time for us to get quite
a bit accomplished in our daily living experiences. A god time
for business partners to negotiate better circumstances in the
working environment. Saturn makes the first of four squares
to Pluto on November 15th. Not a happy time for anyone. Some
are predicting some rather startling times for the stock market.
Also, close aspects to the Federal Reserve Bank. Indeed times
are not the most stable for all.
Halloween
follows on October 31st. Get out the candy (sugarless,
of course).
November 1st is All Saints Day and also when
Daylight Saving Time ends ... turn our clocks back one hour.
The
Full Moon is on November 2nd. A very powerful Moon
as Scorpio/Taurus are very fixed in nature as well as very stubborn
in nature. Go easy today ... Let life flow.
November
3rd is Election Day, so if you are in a city, county
or state that has an election, go out and VOTE.
November 5th, Neptune stations and goes direct.
Our fears may begin to become less intense and we can see our
way in a much clearer fashion.
Venus moves into Scorpio on November 7th. Now
even our thoughts of romance are intense. Venus is not terribly
happy in Scorpio as she likes to play around and have fun. Lets
face it, Scorpio is rather deep especially in the romance department.
Veterans Day falls every year on November 11th.
Remember our hero's ... pray for them.
November 15th Mercury moves into Sagittarius.
Lets fly and where we land is going to be a surprise. Our thoughts
can have wings, what fun. The Saturn Pluto square is that day
also. Much energy being expended.
The New Moon is on November 16th at 24 degrees of Scorpio.
Don't forget to write your goals and set them into action. New
beginnings are great way to see our actions take flight and
soar!
