Scorpios are the perfect example of still waters that run deep. So in the best sense this can be wonderfully rewarding and meaningful but in the worst sense, this is the dark side in the flesh. They are known as the sexiest sign but they are (without trying) usually overtly sexy, not smolder or carnal sexy types like a Virgo, Libra or Taurus can be. At best, Scorpios are devoted and disciplined sensitive people with a real internal fire that burns for things they deeply care about. Next to Cancer, the Scorpio is most sensitive about taking things personally. Worse case, they're possessive, needy, jealous, vindictive, and reactive and, too much to handle emotionally.

Scorpios can be very friendly and light in social situations as they derive much satisfaction from social encounters however they also attach quite readily to anything that attracts them. They often use others to work through their gifts and then stay in deep loyal affiliation with anyone they are with … even after the functional parts of the relationship are past. Scorpios are nostalgic and at worse can be broody types. At best they are just physically there and dependable in that affection. They make steady spouses and they usually marry young. They don't really like dating a lot because they are instantly picky by preference.

Scorpios are really interesting people and give readily and are generous with anyone in which they have a real relationship. They are true to their feelings even when it makes them look bad. Unlike Leo that would rather die than embarrass themselves. Scorpios really don't care if they look bad if that's how they feel. They are sort of ethereal creatures emotionally and they will die gladly for something they believe in. This trueness is so admirable but you can see how it could be misunderstood if it's misplaced.

Any parent of a Scorpio child needs to start working them from youth to really teach them how to use their power positively, otherwise they test everything and if misdirected can become a negative force, addicts and sexually promiscuous deviants. Since they are all like tornados and capable of great contributions, channeling that flow of water is what is key for this sign to find success and happiness. They have high hopes for themselves and are pretty hard on themselves in general, so helping them laugh readily is a great way to get a Scorpio to open up. Scorpios typically don't drive themselves crazy though, they drive others crazy if their energy can't find a table and peaceful way to express itself. Even when Scorpios are the more reserved types, they can always be "brewing" inside. For the ones that find their positive channels, these folks can be big and significant leaders or great parents and friends.

Professionally these folks are solid managers, pull their weight and are pleasant to work with … if they are leaders and the big boss, they are very integrated and have great support staffs because they tend to not be visible on a regular basis. Scorpios love familiarity and having an established place to be and a dedicated role. They're usually so busy figuring themselves out that they don't like too much challenge figuring out everything else besides.

Scorpios are masters of circuitous communication routes and they are excellent in roles where this sill can be utilized. The skill is well used from childhood all the way throughout life and career and most especially in relationships.

The Sun enters Scorpio October 22 at 6:09 PST. It is time for all of us to take life a bit more seriously. The Scorpio energy means putting your nose to the grind stone and accomplishing something important.

The New Moon falls on October 28th at 4:14 am. Time to write your goals for this month … putting thought into form tells the universe that you are ready for your special goal to enter your life.

On November 1st at 11:40 pm, Neptune stations and turns around and begins its forward motion. Time to renew our spiritual values. November 2nd, daylight savings time ends. We are in AZ and do not change time so we will be on Mountain Standard Time until next spring.

Election Day is Tuesday November 4th. PLEASE GO OUT AND VOTE. This will be the most important election of our lifetime. This day seems to favor Barack Obama to become our next president baring any unforeseen events. The last Solar Eclipse was in Leo and Barack Obama is a Leo, so that alone gives him an advantage. John McCain will give Obama a run for his money in campaigning for the number one spot in the nation. Joe Biden looks like he could become the Vice President astrologically.

November 11th is Veterans Day. Honor all the Veterans especially our heroes from the war in Iraq .

The Full Moon is November 12th at 10:17 pm PST. Venus moves into Capricorn that day … we can get more serious about our love.
