The
lazy days of summer are upon us as we merge with the sign of
LEO. You always see lions lounging around and that’s what
we can do during this time. Leo’s are proud and it is
no accident that we call a group of lion’s the pride.
This wonderful fire sign is very loving and loyal. They came
here to perform and act out their life’s expression.
Leo’s have to create or they feel barren. Celebration
is an art form for them. They are both fiery and fixed
in nature. Impulsive is also an adjective that can
describe the Leo personality.Leo’s
must produce and direct their lives as well as those
they love; whether or not you want them to do this.
They are quite singular in their vision of what should
be done their way and only their way. Leo does it
in a charming way to get their way but none the less,
it has to be their way.

Leo’s
must come from the Cancerian mother of feminine domination to
emerge into the lion that they are … they feel like they
are so unique, that there just isn’t anyone like them
so they feel extremely special and expect others to notice this
special ness and pay them the respect that they think they deserve.
They are the sign of royalty and feel that to the very core
of their bones.
These
really charismatic Leo souls can be very prone to anger and
too much pride. Restraint is always necessary for the Leo to
bear in mind. However, on the other hand, they can be very compassionate
towards others feelings and the less advantaged people. Very
idealistic and magnanimous can often cause others to fear them
as they appear so strong. Details are not their strong point.
They are on stage their whole life as life is a stage for all
of us but Leo acts it.
Like
the Aries personality, they find truth to be better than telling
a lie. However, they can really embellish a story. They are
very optimistic, almost to a fault.
Leo
rules the physical heart and loves nature. They need affection
to give as well as receive and can be romantic and chivalrous
at the same time. They expect the same in return and are often
disappointed in love.
Leo’s
love danger and adventure. It arouses their passionate nature,
which they thrive upon. They will fight for their principles
forever as this allows them to see themselves as very strong
and idealistic.
The
Leo’s sense of beauty is intensely keen and their love
for it is overwhelming. They give the best presents as they
think about their offering with respect for the person receiving
them.

What
the Planets are Doing...
The
Sun coming into its ruling sign will shine golden all
over you Leo’s on July 22nd. It is a fire sign and coming
from the very watery water of Cancer, it is like a break through
energy. We will be brought out of our quietude and begin to
laze around.
Mars packs his bags and moves into Virgo on
July 23rd. Our work ethic can benefit from this move if we don’t
get too picky about things. Our ego can run amok here if we
don’t watch it and keep it in check. Patience is the word
here.
The
New Moon is on July 24th. Write your goals and allow
them to manifest in your life. Take the action of writing your
specialized goals to put thought into form. This is a very powerful
exercise.
July
28th, Mercury stations and goes forward (direct) again;
thank all the powers that be. Hopefully, we have all rethought
our past adventures and gotten them all straightened out. The
entire period won’t be over until August 11th, when Mercury
completes its station point originally. It then enters Leo …
creativity in our thoughts can again begin.
Venus
moves into Leo on August 12th. Even more creativity
can start as there will be four planets in Leo. Such fun we
can have if we listen to our hearts desire and allow our inspiration
to happen.
The
Red Planet is about
to be spectacular!
This
month and next, Earth is catching up with Mars in an encounter
that will culminate in the closest approach between the two
planets in recorded history. The next time Mars may come this
close is in 2287. Due to the way Jupiter’s gravity tugs
on Mars and perturbs its orbit, astronomers can only be certain
that Mars has not come this close to Earth in the last 5,000
years, but it may be as long as 60,000 years before it happens
again.
The
encounter will culminate on August 27th when Mars comes to within
34,649,589 miles of Earth and will be (next to the moon) the
brightest object in the night sky. It will attain a magnitude
of –2.9 and will appear 25.11 arc seconds wide. At a modest
75-power magnification.
Mars
will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. Mars will
be easy to spot. At the end of August when the two planets are
closest, Mars will rise at nightfall and reach its highest point
in the sky at 12:30 a.m. That’s pretty convenient to see
something that no human being has seen in recorded history.
So, mark your calendar at the binning of August to see Mars
grow progressively brighter and brighter throughout the month.
