Voice of Astrology Horoscope for Gemini, 2012The twins have arrived accompanied by a Solar Eclipse, the potent New Moon. This evasive sign ruled by Mercury can only be described as a study in opposites. It happens to be a lovely air sign, the first of the three air signs. To the Gemini, thinking is an art form, their most favorite task. They delight in the spoken and written word. Their minds work like a computer. Much goes in and comes out quickly. Often there is no filter in their brains so tact is not always in the foreground of their speech patterns. |

Gemini’s emerge from the heavy energy Taurus and comes out swinging higher and higher into the air, that they rule. Their need to communicate is so important to them that they really can't wait.
Gemini is ruled by Mercury, planet of communication and mental/mind side of things; so there's a lot to a Gemini beneath the surface. They seem self contained, smart, stable, and they often are interesting lookinghowever, rarely in their bodies. They live in their heads and they are capable of great heights with discipline or great lows with bad childhoods and no direction. They tend to not be well suited to school because they are way too eager to practice everything they learn in the real world right away. They grow up fast, and are actually very smart and quick minded, so they catch on to everything fast (which should make them great observational students mainly, only if they are very disciplined early on will this manifest). Romantically, they're hard to land, because one of them is never really there. Even the steady spouses have 2 marriages because one dies or something to enable the second round. They are never out of the game. And only Gemini's with a lot of Earth sign in their chart could be married only once. Love is an adventure and these guys are very committed while they are committed however they morph and grow into other things throughout their life so they have to change the players along the way. Plus, most people can't keep up with them. They are high energy and very engaging.
Gemini’s are good workers and very good in positions that require high communications skills and social or service interactions. Politicians are often Gemini's because they talk the talk. They are high achievers and have the greater good top of mind; however their way of getting there isn't always clear to everyone else! John F Kennedy was a Gemini and a classic Gemini male. Very charismatic, gifted and witty; great orator and sincere however, very distracted.
Communication is the key word with these folks. As long as the relationship expresses who they are and you are, it's fine. Otherwise, they're out the door with no long term strings. Mental and conversational stimulation is great with these folks. They are excellent debaters, slow to anger, fun and attractive (rarely overweight) and culturally active. They are not so good with details and their best role is in Communications or Public Relations, speech writing, politics, academia or leadership. They are somewhat unconnected perception wise; they just don't always understand the scope of their influence or their affect on people. As they mature, they are easier to be with and they can settle into things so long as there is always mental stimulation. Never a dull moment with the Gemini's and they're just plain good for personal growth to be around; if you can catch them.

There are many aspects that affect the Eclipse and too many to elaborate here.
May 24th Mercury enters Gemini. This can be a major overload for the Gemini personality. Our minds are exposed to high speed comprehension and data that is coming into our brains. If you choose try to bring a notebook with you at all times to write all the data that you will be experiencing so you don't forget them. Super fun time for many.
May 28th we will be closed for the celebration of Memorial Day.
June 4th at 4:12 am PST there will be a Lunar Eclipse. Most of us here in the States will be able to see it. It is only a partial Eclipse but it will still be great.
June 5th Neptune begins it's retrograde motion. Time to look back to see how you can move ahead with the goals that you set during the time when he was direct. Neptune is filled with illusion so dig deep into your fears to set them on course when he turns direct on November 10th.
June 7th Mercury enters Cancer. Thoughts of home and family will take precedent during this time.
Jupiter enters Gemini June 11th at 10:22 am PST. It will stay in Gemini for about a year. Gemini's have fun, as this can be a great time for you to expand your goals and ideas especially about your spiritual life. Jupiter can also bring you a weight issue as it needs to expand whatever it can.
