Voice of Astrology Horoscope for Capricorn, 2011-2012

The Winter Solstice is upon us and time to reflect on the past year.  The Sun moving into Capricorn signifies a time for introspection and an assessment of our past actions during this past year.  It is the longest night giving us time for deep thought.  Saturn rules this time and he loves hard work, discipline and much structure in our routine of daily living.  The totem for Capricorn is the Goat.  The wild goat climbs any mountain in sight to reach heights through solitary hard work and sound judgment. This is Capricorn's nature. If the goat is domesticated then they feel chained up and unable to reach it's true nature.

Capricorn's are usually stable and have a hardened aspect to their lives. They appreciate a disciplined approach.  They set up their routine and just do it. Their natural managerial skills set them up as authority figures naturally, and others just seem to fall in line and support them easily.  They hunger for money and power.  Richard Nixon was a perfect example of this lust for power. As a result of all this power they can easily get out of touch with the rest of us mortals. They are such problem solvers that they are often difficult to hold in a conversation. They interrupt and try to solve your problems, when you might just want to unload and get things off your chest. You can't get angry at them because they really have the best of intentions.

Capricorn's are born old.  An old head on young shoulders is the classic saying in astrological circles.  They think like an older person as a child.  They take responsibility easily and adults are often surprised with their abilities at handling intricate situations with ease.  But as they age they seem to become more childlike and are able to relax more easily.  I know several that seem to have a better time as they age.

Capricorn, and it's ruler Saturn,  rules the knees, bones, teeth and skin.  Trouble with your knees?  Are you too rigid and unbending?  Having trouble with your teeth?  A Saturn transit is most likely in aspect to a planet in your chart.  A Saturn transit can last up to two years, so that gives you plenty of time to get your teeth taken care of.

Capricorn also rules big business, the banking industry, the stock market, and the government, as well as the President.  Pluto is in Capricorn.  Pluto the planet of transformation and change.  Is there a question as to why all of these things are going through many changes and huge transformation. The world is under Pluto and for a really long time to come. We all just need to hang in there and we will weather the storm.  Similar aspects happened in the great depression, and the people came through it, changed.

The noblest of them have a vision for their lives and often for many lives.  Dr. Martin Luther King had a vision for equality among the races.  He died for his beliefs and yet in typical Capricorn fashion he is still remembered with great respect.  Elvis Presley, a Capricorn, is still remembered for his vision of music as he changed the music industry. These are often very lonely people as they move through our lives and we see changes that they have made in our lives. They need to have their lives seem significant to them as well as the rest of us.  Capricorns are often seen as cold and aloof.  They just plow through their lives and often do not think of others feelings as they move ahead.  Reminding them is not easy as they are not easily approached. In spite of all their seriousness they are often the best humorists.  Many really funny comedians  are born under this sign.  They seem to have a very wry sense of humor and make great fun of themselves. Happy Birthday Capricorn.

Have a very Merry Christmas

and blessings for a very happy and safe New Year.

We all await the coming 2012.

Changes are upon us.

Saturn: Ruler of Capricorn

Saturn heads the Boundaries and Rules Department.  Locate Saturn in your chart (or call Pat  for this information) to find out where you’ll build walls to keep change out, where you may segregate yourself at times. This planet teaches you to respect elders, follow the rules and do things right the first time. Wherever Saturn is in your chart is a place where you’ll feel respectful, serious, and conservative.  You won’t expect something for nothing. Because this planet is so fond of boundaries, it’s also the planet in charge of organization, structures, and guidelines. Saturn correlates with the bones and the skin, those structures that hold your body together.
