SERENA is our celebrity of the month. Even is you don't like tennis, you have to know of this dynamic woman tennis player. She is a LIBRA first of all. But she has the Sun in conjunction to Saturn, Jupiter Pluto and Mercury, just by being so close to each other. All of these Planets are in her sixth house of work. The Moon in Virgo sits there also. So there are six of these guys all living in her sixth house. Since work is Tennis to her, then she has the great capacity to work and derive much pleasure from this endeavor.
All of her planets are on the western side of the chart so sometimes she needs a push to get herself started. Another aspect that makes her even more directed at success is her natal Midheaven which is in Capricorn.
However, with all those planets touching her Sun especially Saturn, the closest to her Sun, makes her a more than a bit Capricornian. Jupiter next in the lineup gives her even more drive as Saturn and Jupiter together can offer her a stronger need for commitment. Her ideals are enormous and she is very disciplined and patient. She can manifest her dreams through her responsibility and structure that are in her very proud nature. Serena is very spiritual and religious and seems to become even more practical as she matures. With Saturn and Jupiter conjunct her Sun she is pulled in many directions.
With Pluto combined in these conjunctions high drama is important and a necessary in her nature. She seems to attract drama in her tennis life, as many of her matches are highlighted with suspense and drama.
Serena's Venus is in Scorpio and this happens to be her ruler as she has Taurus rising, or on the ascendent.
She more often has a sweet nature, but in the semi-finals of the U.S Open on 9/12, close to 11 p.m. she really lost her temper badly. In a rage she began to scream at a linesman about a call that he made. On national television she made quite a spectacle of herself. The transits at that time were significant. The transiting Mercury was conjunct her natal Sun. Pluto and the transiting Moon were square Mercury and natal Sun. This pattern is quite volatile especially with her intense natal chart.
I doubt that this behavior will ever again bother Serena. She and her sister are both incredibly talented individuals and have made their mark in the tennis world.
